Tuesday, September 24, 2024 | 10:00 AM

Charles E. Trepanier, age 90, of South Minneapolis passed away September 16, 2024. He was a graduate of DeLaSalle High School and the University of St. Thomas. And was a retired accountant from the Department of Agriculture and the US Postal Service.

Chuck was the son of Charles J. and Anna Trepanier; also preceded in death by brother, Robert. Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Helen; children, Joseph, Marianne (Eric) Brekke, Charles J. (Kristina) Trepanier; granddaughters, Katherine and Charlotte.

Chuck was proud to have served in the United States Army which allowed him to travel Europe. Then in 1971, he met Helen in their South Minneapolis neighborhood, which resulted in him going to Annunciation Church, and asking Monsignor Colbert for her phone number. The rest is history, as they were married the following year. Chuck adored his three children and two granddaughters and everyone who interacted with him heard how proud he was of them. His family always brought a smile to his face.

Chuck enjoyed keeping a beautiful rose garden in the family’s backyard and was a lifelong collector of stamps, coins and old beer cans. He found many ways to stay active, especially by walking the family dogs around the neighborhood and nearby lakes while greeting other dog walkers. In ‘retirement’ he kept busy by forming Trepanier Lawn Service, serving approximately 100 families in South Minneapolis and nearby areas.

Visitation one hour prior to Mass at church.
