What is Building Amazing Marriages (BAM)?

Navigating life with your best friend is fantastic and challenging. Building Amazing Marriages (BAM) supports marriages by hosting events that enrich our marriages and our family lives. Past events have included date nights like Oktoberfest, Casino Night, Tacos and Trivia, and Celebrate Marriage Dinner. We have also hosted evening book review workshops, full day marriage enrichment seminars, and marriage and parenting series. If you are married or engaged, you are part of Building Amazing Marriages at Our Lady of Grace! See you at our next event. OLG is excited to offer an outstanding range of marriage-boosting events this year! We have some returning favorite date night events, accompanied by some new marriage enrichment-focused opportunities. Mark your calendars now!

Oktoberfest: Saturday, September 14, 6:15-9:15 PM

Oktoberfest is returning, bigger and better than ever – outside, biergarten style! Dress in your most festive German attire and dance along to the Schell’s Hobo band. Childcare included for children over 12 months.

Unity through Seasons of Transition:
Saturday, October 12, 6:15-8:15 PM

All of our marriages go through seasons of transition. Are you welcoming your first child into the home soon? Is one of you getting a new, more demanding job? Are you about to become empty nesters or retirees? Then this event is for you! We will be hearing pro-tips on handling all types of transitions with grace from Teresa Petrucelli, M.A., a licensed Catholic couples counselor. Childcare included.

Marriage Retreat:
Saturday, November 23, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

The holiday season is hectic. What better way to balance the craziness than by spending a day connecting with your spouse at the EverMore in Love retreat? Childcare not included for this event.

Casino Night: Saturday, January 11, 6:15-9:15 PM

Kick off the new year with a fun date night! Las Vegas Tonight returns to host your favorite casino card games including Blackjack and Texas Hold ’Em. Childcare included.

9th Annual Celebrate Marriage Dinner: Friday, February 14, 6:00-9:30 PM

Look no further for your 2025 Valentine’s Day plans! This community-favorite event starts with Mass with a special Marriage Blessing and is followed with a dinner and talk presented by Twin Cities Catholic speaker Ryan O’Hara. Childcare not included for this event.

Lenten Marriage Workshop: Saturday, March 15, 6:15-9:15 PM

Spend some time this lent season focusing on your marriage. This interactive workshop hosted by Lori Brumbaugh will facilitate deeper connection with your

spouse and you will leave with some practical tips to continue strengthening your marriage. Childcare included.
