Bea Manske Funeral
Wednesday, December 4, 2024 | 11:00 AM
On November 20, 2024, one day shy of her 94th birthday, our wonderful, brave, loving, generous, spunky, very hilarious mother decided it was time to step out of the body that had served her so well, but was "just worn out" (her words) and move on to her next adventure.
Bea began her wonderful life on November 21, 1930, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. After completing high school, she moved to the "big city" where she became a registered nurse and worked at General Hospital and Abbott Northwestern, both in Minneapolis.
Her greatest love was her family. Bea loved and was loved by her six children, Glenn (Jane) Manske, Jill (Michael) Manske, Lori (Tim) Wente, Kipp (Maria), Manske, Robyn (Paul) Kruger, and Toni (Robb) Schwartz. Her busy “Bea-hive” was also filled with her sixteen grandchildren, William, Katie, CeeBie, Katrin, Steven, Natalie, Derek, David, Sarah, Mike, Nadine, Molly, Tony, Ryan, Julie, and Megan, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Bea is survived by her brother William Krump of Morris, MN; 27 nieces and nephews; and too many friends to count, including her dear friend Joy,[1] with whom she shared many lunches and adventures.
She was preceded in death by her loving and much missed husband, William (Bill) Manske; parents, Adolph and Loraine; sisters, Marlys (Bob) Haedrich, Lorraine ("Smitty" Smith, and Harold) Lemke, JoAnn (Darrell "Lefty") Miller; and brothers, Norman (Marion) Krump, Chuck (Mary) Krump, and Peter (Joan) Krump.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with visitation one hour prior. Private burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
We won the mom lottery. She will be missed forever.
Memorials preferred to the Loraine Witt Krump Scholarship, St. Catherine University, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
