Gary Lyons Funeral

Lyons, Gary age 84, of Hopkins, MN went home to the Lord July 29th after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. An ardent Catholic, from Burlington IA, he graduated from Marquette University where he met his wife Jane and many friends. Working in management for JCPenney took them to Elgin IL, Golden Valley and Duluth, where they lived for 30 years. The Glenn Hopkins was home the last four years. Gary loved his family and was a big supporter of kids' and grandkids' activities, including coaching baseball for many years. He loved music, entertaining, camping, the family cabin, travelling, playing cards and great times with friends. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Twins fan, even throwing out the first pitch for a game. He was active in the Lions Club, Serra Club (a Catholic vocation ministry), and many parish endeavors. He will be remembered for his love of people and ability to make others laugh.
Gary was preceded in death by infant daughter Mary Beth, and parents Harold and Virginia Lyons. He is survived by devoted wife of 60 years, Jane, children Mark (Barbara), Therese Cassidy (AJ), Bob, sister Mary Hartwell, eight grandchildren: Hannah, Emma (David) Que, Katie, Rachel, Charlotte, Kelly, Ginny and Andrew and two nieces.
Funeral will be Friday, August 5th at Our Lady of Grace, Edina. 10:00am Visitation, 10:30 Mass and luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St Paul Seminary, Serra Foundation or Alzheimers. Washburn-McReavy.com Edina Chapel 952-920-3996

McKean, Mary (Libbie) Age 97 of St. Louis Park, passed away July 27, 2022. Preceded in death by husband John. Survived by children Michael (Paula) McKean, John (Laura) McKean, Jr., Moira (Curtis) Knutson, Kevin McKean, Brian (Lynn) McKean, & Kathleen (Erik) Johnson; 20 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 3 at The Church of Our Lady of Grace, 5071 Eden Ave., Edina. Visitation Tuesday August 2, 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Gearty-Delmore Park Chapel, 3960 Wooddale Ave S., St. Louis Park and Wednesday at church one hour before Mass. Interment Ft. Snelling.

Mary Kathryn Kroth, 96, of Edina, Minnesota passed away peacefully on May 29, 2022 surrounded by her children. She was born October 26, 1925 to Stanley and Kathryn Panfil in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She attended Marywood Academy in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 0n June 25, 1949 she married the love of her life Thomas E. Kroth. Mary spent most of her life as a homemaker extraordinaire. She enjoyed travel, especially to Italy, Ireland and Naples, Florida. She also enjoyed gardening, art and history. Mary was a devout Catholic and her faith was very important to her throughout her life. She was a long-time member of the Athena Women's Club of Edina. She and Tom were also active members of the Linden Hills Dance Club. Mary never missed the Michigan-Minnesota football game for the "Little Brown Jug". She loved to shop and dine out with family and friends. Mary will be remembered fondly for her creativity, her fun-loving spirit and her ability to make every occasion special.
Preceded in death by loving husband of 46 years Thomas Edward Kroth, and son John Thomas Kroth. Survived by children Barbara (Norbert) Welch, Jennifer (Lee) Giorgi, Robert (Nancy) Kroth, Gregory (Mary) Kroth, Elizabeth (Bill) Manning, daughter-in-law Marci Kroth, 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 8 at 11:00 AM, visitation one hour prior at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 5071 Eden Ave, Edina. Burial will take place at Lakewood Cemetery, 3600 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis.
